Assistance Guidelines

  1. Contact Us Early
Do not wait until your utilities are days from being disconnected. Reach out as soon as you anticipate a need.

  2. Provide Documentation
You must be able to verify your request. Acceptable documents include past due bills, DD214, proof of income, and other relevant materials.

  3. Verification Process
All information submitted is thoroughly verified. Fraudulent requests will not be tolerated.

  4. Direct Payments Only
If approved, we pay the service providers directly. No funds are issued to individuals.

  5. Referral Does Not Equal Approval
Being referred by another organization does not guarantee assistance. We operate independently and follow our own application process.

  6. Processing Time
Please allow 7–10 business days for final processing once all documentation is received.

  7. Program Limitations
Due to repeated misuse, we no longer provide assistance for mortgage payments, rent, or car notes as of August 29, 2025.

  8. Eligibility Requirements
    Assistance is available only to:

    • Single female veterans living alone with children

    • Elderly female veterans living alone
Households with two incomes are not eligible.
